Mechanical Installation for Yelo

In this crucial 3-week outage for our client, we refurbished the cake cooker by removing the old sweep arm, plating the defected side walls, then fabricating and fitting a new sweep arm.  The bottom bush and packing gland had also failed which was causing product to leak.  We stripped it down, cleaned all the components and re-fit with new bush, gland packing and bolts.

Our team overcame initial access issues and worked alongside other contractors to get the outage completed on time.

We were also asked to undertake additional work during this outage:

• Replace damaged flank plates in the furnace
• Replace damaged expansion joints x 10
• Remove and replace bottom cyclone cones x 2
• Shorten discharge conveyor and fit new chain and new wear plates in a defected section
• Removal of old motor and re-install new motor in position
